La Marque Jaune (The Yellow Mark) is the sixth comic book in the Blake and Mortimer series by the Belgian artist Edgar P. Jacobs. It was first published in Tintin magazine between 6 August 1953 and 3 November 1954 and later appeared in book form in 1956.
Franquin designed two Turbotraction cars for Spirou and Fantasio, It is not clear which of the two Turbotraction vehicles Loustal is refering to. The Turbotraction: Turbot-Rhino I first appeared in 1955 book 'La corne de rhinocéros'
The Turbot 2 first appears in the short story 'Vacances sans histoires' from the 1959 album 'Le gorille a bonne mine'. The Turbot 2 is given to Spirou & Fantasio after the wealthy sheikh (and allegedly worst motorcar driver in the world) Ibn-Mah-Zoud has tried and wrecked the Turbotraction I.

The brass imam is here mounted on a slap of brass in the shape of a prayer rug. In front of him an ornate koran which he seems to be reading while fidgeting with his prayer beads. I imagine that the groove is for resting a fountain pen, or maybe a cigar?
